BC Coast Campfire Ban
(details) The Wildlife Management Branch of the BC Ministry of Forests and Range have declared a campfire ban across all areas covered by the Coastal Fire Centre. The only exception is areas in the West Vancouver Island Fog Zone. For more information see:

Gas Subsidy Policy
We carpool and share gas costs on Club Tread trips. Participants are expected to pay the driver on a per kilometer rate based on the following formula:
- 1/20th of the per liter price of gas at the Esso Station nearest the Saanich Municipal Hall rounded up to the nearest cent. Minimum rate is 5 cents per kilometer.
- there is a 5 cent per kilometer surcharge for driving on logging roads
- The minimum mileage allowance is $2 per person.
Participants are also required to pay their share of other expenses such as ferry fares (including the vehicle portion of the fare), park entrance fees, etc. We have developed a
calculator for use by trip coordinators to estimate the per person cost for a trip.
