
BC Coast Campfire Ban
(details) The Wildlife Management Branch of the BC Ministry of Forests and Range have declared a campfire ban across all areas covered by the Coastal Fire Centre. The only exception is areas in the West Vancouver Island Fog Zone. For more information see:

Pre trip preparations
- Arrange for mail pickup
- Clip Finger/Toe nails
- Let someone know where you are going and when you'll
be back. (Trip leader may want to take advantage of the trip
registration service offerred through the executive).
- Treat (waterproof) boots and raingear
- Water Plants
Post trip tasks
- Dry and air sleeping bags and tent.
- Inspect all gear, replace or repair any that is broken or weak.
- Make a list of anything you think would benefit you on future trips.
- Remove boots from plastic bags, clean, dry and re-apply waterproofing.
- Replace any supplies that have been exhausted or are low. This includes but is not limited to:
- Batteries
- Film
- First aid supplies
- Iodine tablets/water purification (if used)
- Matches
- Wash any clothes and gear that requires it.
